A BLANKING LINE makes square, round, or rectangular parts by mechanically or hydraulically stamping them out of a master coil.
A steel coil is placed on an uncoiler by a coil car. The coil is then fed into a straightener or leveler to remove stress and memory from the coil. Feed rolls push the material into a loop then with each cycle of the press a premeasured length of material is fed into the press. After the press stamps the parts, conveyors take the finished material to the stacker. Stackers usually have multiple stations and will discharge the material at the side of the unit for handling.
