- Walking Beam Furnace
Capacity to heat bars to 6 meters in length
*This makes the use of material more efficient, and the line has a band saw, in case the process requires bars of shorter length.
- Helipebs Forging Rolling Mill
- Heat Treatment System: consists of an extraction wheel with speeds regulated by a PLC, according to the different production diameters, to ensure the required hardness according to the requested specifications, above 60RC
- Recirculating Cooling System: has a cooling tower with the ability to always keep the water at the correct temperature of the quenching medium.
Note: Production Capacity: 5,000 ton per year on a single shift operation (5 x 8 hours per week)
* If the mill was to focus on larger ball sizes (50 70mm diameter) the production would grow to
circa 6,500t on a single shift. If the plant was run on 3 shifts, 7 days per week annual production approaching 20,000 tons would be achievable.
